WENDY’S EMPLOYEE INFECTED WITH HEPATITIS A, YUCK

Date:

Eating at fast food restaurants just got a little scarier. After a thorough investigation it was found that an employee at a Wendy’s location worked while ill with Hepatitis A from June 13 to June 29.

Anyone who consumed food or drink at the Wendy’s during the above dates should contact their healthcare provider or their local Health Department to determine if a hepatitis A immunization is needed to prevent the disease,”

Health Department officials said.

Hepatitis A is a viral infection of the liver that can cause loss of appetite, nausea, tiredness, fever, stomach pain, dark-colored urine and light-colored stools. Yellowing of the skin or eyes may also appear. People can become ill up to 50 days after being exposed to the virus

The Wendy’s location involving the infected employee was at 165 Scenic Highway Lawrenceville, GA.

A Wendy’s location near Charlotte actually got a 86.50 health inspection score, due to flies in the kitchen and ants in the dining room, in addition to employees caught not washing their hands.
