A theft arrest occurred at a Walmart in New Mexico. Newly released video displays the incident that happened in September 2022.
A Walmart loss prevention employee accused the male suspect of filling two duffel bags up with items from Walmart that he allegedly didn’t pay for. The suspect went to the self checkout area and paid for a few items.
But there were still items in the duffel bags that were alleged to be not paid for.
Officers were called to the scene and waited for the suspect to exit the store.
The cops approach the suspect and the suspect drops the duffel bags and runs.
The officer and the suspect get into a physical struggle. The suspect is able to run away even after being tasered.
The suspect is tasered again in the Walmart parking lot and is arrested. Cops say a plastic baggie containing narcotics was found on the suspect.
The suspect was charged with shoplifting, conspiracy to commit shoplifting, resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer, trafficking controlled substances, and possession of a controlled substance.
