TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED AFTER MAN MURDERED AT HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS

David Funches, 33, was killed after being shot multiple times inside a Holiday Inn Express hotel room in Matthews, NC on June 7, 2020.

On June 15, 2020 Audrey Medina, 22, and Daniel Parker, 24, were charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of David.

Officials say that the victim and the two suspects got into an altercation inside one of the rooms at the hotel. The confrontation escalated and the victim was shot multiple times by the suspects, cops say.

David died from the gunshot wounds at the hospital. Arrest warrants were issued for the suspects several days later. Audrey and Daniel are charged with murder.
