TRUCK DRIVER KILLED AT LOWES FOOD GROCERY STORE LOADING DOCK

A young man identified as Elijah was killed in an industrial accident at Lowes Food grocery store in Huntersville, NC on October 11, 2024.

The victim was a truck driver, the accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the Lowes Foods on Boren Street, off of Gilead Road near Interstate 77.

Heavy products were being loaded onto the loading dock where the victim was. Mechanical equipment or products then either fell on or mangled Elijah.

Elijah died on scene. However, the death is being ruled an accident. Elijah was not an employee at Lowes Food. The accident was reported to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. An investigation is underway.
