The suspect Michael Cumbo is charged with threatening and assaulting an elementary school teacher
Michael Cumbo, 35, was arrested recently on charges of assaulting Shayquanda Cumbo in North Carolina. Shayquanda just won the Teacher of the Year award for Pactolus Global School.
The alleged physical altercation occurred in September 2024 in Greenville, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The suspect is accused of hitting Shayquanda inside a home, causing injury and also communicating threats to Shayquanda while children were present.
911 was called and Michael was arrested charged with assault on a female and communicating threats.
Shayquanda is an elementary school teacher at Pactolus Global School in Pitt County; and just this month she won the Teacher of The Year award. Shayquanda is an alumni of East Carolina University.
Shayquanda also pledged and became a member of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority.
Michael is an 18-wheeler truck driver. Michael attended the University of North Carolina Greensboro at one point, but it appears he failed to ever graduate. Michael is familiar with jail, because he has been arrested many times over the years.
