TEENAGER SHOT TO DEATH, KILLING RULED JUSTIFIED

No charges will be filed after Daniel Morales, 19, died in a shooting on December 5, 2021 on Ann Elizabeth Drive Charlotte, NC. The decision not to charge anyone in the case was made on December 28, 2021.  

Detectives classified this case as a justified homicide. The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office consulted with the police Homicide Unit and agreed with the decision not to charge anyone in this case.

Around 2:49 a.m., Daniel was shot at a trailer park complex on December 5th. He was able to drive himself away from the scene in an attempt to make it to a hospital. 

Officers did not locate a victim at the crime scene, but were advised by witnesses that the victim was being transported to the hospital by a third party.
