Zackaryah Cummings, 14, was killed in a shooting of July 4, 2025 in Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram. Zackaryah attended Phillp O Berry High School.
Zackaryah was at a residence when he was shot and killed with a pistol. There are reports of suicide, but no cause of death has been confirmed at this time. Many teenagers have been killed in Charlotte.
An autopsy will take place to determine the cause and nature of death for Zackaryah. This is the sixth death this week.
