Jamotis Watkins, 18, was arrested on October 17, 2024 accused of murdering Derrick Baker, 22, on Tom Hunter Road Charlotte, NC.
Derrick and 2 other people were shot. One of the shot victims included a juvenile. Derrick died on scene, the other 2 victims were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Derrick was a new father with a newborn baby. Jamotis was arrested charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill/inflict serious injury (2 counts), and attempted murder (2 counts).
Derrick was arrested in 2019 accused of robbing a Boost Mobile store.
