Amari Cooper had sexual intercourse and was pregnant at just 16 years old, she was murdered less than a year later at party
Amari Cooper, 17, was shot and killed in a brazen homicide at a Halloween party on Old Plank Road Charlotte, NC on November 1, 2025. Amari got pregnant when she was just 16. She gave birth to a son while she was a student at West Charlotte High School. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
A fight began at the party and shots were fired. Party goers began to run, but Amari was shot by a stray bullet. A large number of West Charlotte High alumni have died this year.
At 12:26 a.m., EMS arrived to the party. Amari was found shot in near fatal condition. Amari was transported to the hospital by ambulance where she was pronounced deceased.
There is no indication if Amari was involved in the large fight at West Charlotte High School on Halloween, video shows a cop body slamming a teen girl in the bus parking lot at the school.
More video shows a teenager at West Charlotte High school being tasered at the school, the teen was paralyzed from the taser shock.
