SUSPECTS PLEAD GUILTY AFTER MAN MURDERED IN WEST CHARLOTTE

On October 6, 2022 Diastarrquacious McKnight, 22, and Zytwan Paschal, 22, made guilty pleas in relation to the homicide of William Perry, 26, in Charlotte, NC.

William was shot and killed on March 22, 2021 on Tuckaseegee Road near apartments. William was found dead inside a car in the afternoon.

On April 2, 2021, Diastarrquacious and Zytwan were arrested following an interview with detectives. Zytwan was charged with murder while Diastarrquacious was charged with accessory after the fact.

Before trial Zytwan decided to plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter. Zytwan was sentenced to 6 to 9 years in prison. 

Diastarrquacious plead guilty to a low level charge and was sentenced to 36 months of probation and 50 hours of community service.
