SUSPECT CHARGED WITH MURDERING MAN IN WOODS

41-year-old Shamario Bethea and Bionnah Massey, 33, were arrested on November 12, 2024 accused of murdering Curtis Lampkin, 24, in Charlotte, NC. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram now.

Curtis was murdered on October 7, 2024 on a wooded walking trail on Peachtree Dr. in Charlotte. 

A woman was walking her dog around noon time when her dog randomly sniffed out Curtis and began barking. The woman then saw Curtis dead in the wooded trail.

Curtis had been shot. Paramedics and police responded to the scene.

On November 12, 2024, police along with the United States Secret Service arrested Shamario in Hickory, NC. Bionnah was later arrested. 

Both suspects were charged with murder, kidnapping, and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
