Columbus Washington, 29, is accused of murdering 34-year-old Sir Battle. Columbus was arrested on November 30, 2021. Sir was a father with young children that loved him.
Sir was shot and killed on November 28, 2021 in Charlotte, NC during a triple shooting. The homicide was on Harland Street in west Charlotte. Shots were fired at a home and 3 people were shot. Sir was found dead inside the home.
The other 2 victims were rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Columbus was labeled as the suspect and arrested 2 days later. Columbus is charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and firearm by felon.
