In an apparent road rage incident Nassir Derrell, 20, shot at a woman in traffic because she cut him off.
On March 13, 2019 the victim had just entered onto outbound Independence Boulevard Charlotte, NC when she accidentally entered the lane of travel being used by Nassir who was driving a red Chevrolet Cruz. After this, Nassir discharged a firearm at the victim’s vehicle, striking the vehicle. Nassir then fled from the scene.
The woman was not injured, but her car suffered a flat tire.
Via real time tracking technology Nassir was identified as the suspect. Nassir was arrested in a traffic stop and charged with one count of discharging a firearm into occupied property and shooting in the city limits.
