RAPPER SUGE KNIGHT GETS 28 YEARS IN PRISON

Date:

Suge Knight has been sentenced to 28 years in prison. He is the co-founder of Death Row Records. Suge engaged in a hit-and-run car accident that left one man dead and another injured.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Coen handed down the sentence during a hearing on Thursday.

Suge Knight, born Marion Hugh Knight Jr., killed Terry Carter during the accident and injured Cle Sloan.

The incident occurred three years ago during an argument in a restaurant parking lot, where Suge ran over the men with his truck.

The judge dismissed two pending, unrelated cases against Suge — one involving “criminal threats,” and the other a robbery, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office said. Suge has a long criminal history.
