On March 24, 2025 Shamaree Bell Brown, 20, was murdered, allegedly by his pregnant girlfriend Maya Jena Jones, 20, in Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Maya was pregnant by Shamaree. Around 2 a.m. the two got into a heated argument at a residence on Burkland Drive. Maya pulled out a knife, Shamaree tried to take the knife from her. Shamaree’s mother came and tried to separate the two.
Maya is then accused of reaching around the mother and stabbing Shamaree. Paramedics were called and saw Shamaree on the ground bleeding heavily.
Shamaree was badly injured, he was taken to the hospital where he died. Maya was arrested charged with murder, even though she is pregnant, she was still sitting in a jail cell and given food with poor nutritional value. Click here to see more pregnant articles that made the news.
