Reginald McDonald, 65, is accused of murdering his wife Joann Carroll-McDonald on December 8, 2021 in Concord, NC.
Officers were called to the scene at 11:30 PM on Tangle Ridge Drive SE in reference to a person suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arriving on scene officers made contact with Reginald.
The suspect allegedly admitted he had shot his wife Joann following a domestic dispute. Reginald was taken into custody without incident. Joann died at the scene as a result of her injuries.
Reginald was charged with one count of first-degree murder and is currently being held in the Cabarrus County jail under no bond.
