MURDER SUSPECT WALKS FREE AFTER JUDGE ORDERS MISTRIAL

On July 25, 2022 Grady Hills, 46, was on trial for the homicide of 29-year-old Larry Watson in Charlotte, NC. Grady was set free on the murder charge due to a mistrial.

Larry was shot and killed on Sunday morning October 8, 2017 at 6:43 a.m. on Trinity Road in Charlotte. Larry was pronounced deceased on scene.

A mistrial was declared by the judge in the 2022 trial after a jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict.

Grady was on trial facing charges of first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection with the 2017 murder of Larry.

Jurors indicated to the court that they were unable to reach a unanimous verdict on July 25, 2022. As a result Superior Court Judge Lisa Bell declared a mistrial.
