Just after 3 a.m. a murder occurred on Blackhawk Road near North Tryon Street. The victim was shot, and died on the scene.
Another person was killed on North Sharon Amity Road during a fiery vehicle collision.
A little girl was shot and killed 20 minutes into the 2023 new year.
