A homicide investigation is underway. One person was shot and killed on October 21, 2021 in uptown Charlotte, NC on South Caldwell Street, marking the 5th murder in the city this week.
The homicide was after 10:00 p.m. when officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon situation. The victim had been shot and was pronounced deceased on scene.
