MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT KILLS MAN, 2ND MOTORCYCLIST DEAD IN 24 HOURS

29-year-old Travis Windley was killed in a motorcycle accident on September 5, 2020 in Charlotte, NC. 22-year-old Reginald Page was killed in a motorcycle wreck less than 24 hours earlier in Charlotte.

Travis was traveling on Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd. in a Suzuki GSX-R10 motorcycle. A woman driving a Toyota Corolla was making a left turn onto Brookmere Lane, when the Suzuki motorcycle collided with the Toyota Corolla.  

The crash threw Travis from the motorcycle and into a yard knocking him unresponsive. Paramedics took Travis to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. 

The driver of the Toyota was not injured in the crash. Detectives with the major crash investigation unit, the DWI task force & motor unit, and CSS responded to conduct the investigation.

The driver of the Toyota was screened for impairment, however she showed no signs of intoxication. Travis was wearing a helmet.
