MOTHER CHARGED WITH KILLING DAUGHTER ON THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY 2019

Elvira Alexander, 56, is charged with the murder of her daughter Chante Alexander, 37, in Charlotte, NC on Thanksgiving Day 2019.

In the late evening on Thanksgiving the two women were in a domestic dispute inside of an apartment complex on Krupa Court.

Chante was shot and was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

Elvira was detained on scene by the officers, was subsequently transported to police headquarters where she was interviewed by Homicide Unit detectives. She has since been transferred to the jail and is charged with murder and possession of a stolen firearm.
