Aleki Langi, 18, was killed on May 1, 2025, while riding a bicycle on Beatties Ford Road Charlotte, NC. Aleki was a mormon missionary in Charlotte to preach about Jesus Christ. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
At 5:18 p.m., Aleki and fellow missionaries were riding bikes on Beatties Ford Road preaching to people when a speeding vehicle lost control and ran into Aleki and his colleagues. The vehicle also hit a light pole.
Aleki was knocked off his bike, the impact ripped his leg off his body. Aleki died instantly. Several other people on scene were hurt. Teenagers are killed a lot in Charlotte.
The driver of the car got out of the vehicle and ran.
