MAN SHOT AND KILLED, NO CHARGES WILL BE FILED

On October 6, 2021 authorities made the decision not to charge anyone in the shooting death of Javone Johnson, 27. He was shot and killed on September 19, 2021 on North Caldwell St. Charlotte, NC.

Homicide Unit detectives classified this case as a justified homicide. The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office consulted and concurred on the decision not to charge anyone in this case.

The original dispatch was a robbery call.
