MAN MURDERED ON WEST SUGAR CREEK, ARREST MADE IN SOUTH CAROLINA

Detectives with the Charlotte Police Homicide Unit have charged Burl Yates, 35, with the murder of 34-year-old Joshua Bullock. Burl was arrested on July 29, 2021.

Bullock was shot and killed on July 18, 2021 on West Sugar Creek Road Charlotte, NC at a gas station. 

As a result of continued investigation, Burl was identified as a suspect and was arrested in Rock Hill, South Carolina, after a collaborative effort between multiple police units. 

Burl will be extradited to North Carolina at a later date and charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
