Sir-Anthony Hepburn pled guilty to murdering a teenager

In March 2026 Sir Anthony Sintari Hepburn, 24, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder after 19-year-old Yimere Joyner was shot and killed at apartments in Charlotte, NC.

The shooting happened on July 5, 2022, on Camp Greene Street near Freedom Drive. Yimere was shot and died on scene at the apartments. Sir, Demetrius Mason, and Nyquan Marriner were arrested in connection with the shooting.

Mason pleaded guilty to second degree murder in January 2025. He was sentenced to 157-201 months in prison. Marriner’s first-degree murder case remains ongoing.

Sir then pled guilty and was given 157-201-months in prison.
