A deadly hit and run car collision ended the life of Barry Cunningham, 35, on July 31, 2021 on Brookshire Boulevard Charlotte, NC. A Dodge Charger collided with Barry and did not stop.
Around 3 a.m. a Dodge Charger vehicle was driving on Brookshire Boulevard at a high rate of speed when it struck Barry, who was crossing the road. Barry was struck and flew across three travel lanes when he came to rest next to the median.
The driver of the Dodge Charger failed to stop at the scene or notify emergency services.
Officers located Barry in the roadway. The Charlotte Fire Department and paramedics responded to the scene. Barry was pronounced deceased on scene.
Detectives are actively searching for the suspect vehicle.
