Miguel Rojas, 25, learned a thing or two about keeping his hands to himself. Miguel was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend, but Miguel was in for a surprise.
On Thursday, November 1, 2018 Miguel and his 20-year-old Hispanic girlfriend were engaged in an argument at the River Birch Apartments on 2000 Sharon Oaks Lane. The argument escalated to the point of an assault. Miguel is accused of assaulting the victim, inflicting serious injury by strangulation. Miguel also allegedly assaulted the victim by striking her multiple times. The suspect also intentionally and unlawfully restrained the victim. The victim was able to fight back, and caused obvious damage to Miguel. The injuries sent the victim to Carolinas Medical Center.
Police were called and Miguel was arrested for Assault and False Imprisonment.
