A man was killed as he was crossing South Tryon street on foot
William Primos, 28, died on March 27, 2026 after suffering a traumatic brain injury in a head on collision crash on South Tryon Street in Charlotte, NC.

On March 14, 2026 at 1:51 a.m., William was standing in the road while attempting to cross South Tryon Street. A Ford Explorer did not see William and hit him with the big strong rigid SUV.
Officers responded to the vehicle crash with personal injury. William was unresponsive in the street with life-threatening injuries.
Medics arrived on scene and transported William to the hospital. The driver of the Ford Explorer was not injured or charged with a crime.
William sustained a traumatic brain injury as a result of the crash. On Friday, March 27th William succumbed to his injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced deceased.
Speed and impairment do not appear to be a factor for the driver of the Ford Explorer.
