On October 30, 2019, Darnel Mills, 20, died at Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center. Darnell was shot last week on East WT Harris Blvd. Charlotte, NC.
Kehlan Johnson is charged in the shooting that killed Darnel.
On October 21, 2019, Darnel was shot on East W T Harris Boulevard.
Darnel was a passenger of a Nissan sedan. A shooting erupted that allegedly involved Kehlan firing a gun at Darnel. Kehlan was also a occupant of the Nissan vehicle.
Upon the shooting Kehlan is accused of fleeing on foot. Once emergency personnel responded to the scene, the victim was transported to the hospital by medics with life-threatening injuries.
On October 24 Kehlan was arrested and charged with the shooting. Since Darnel died on October 30, Kehlan will now be charged with murder.
