Kevin was legally married on October 20, 2020. The rape was on May 10, 2021 at an apartment on Waterford Lakes Drive. Arianna Morton was at Kevin’s house along with other friend’s and co-workers. Arianna was a co-worker of Kevin.
Arianna was drinking and playing card games. Arianna advised the last thing she remembered was being in the living room feeling drunk and sleepy.
Arianna said that the next thing she recalled was waking up in a bedroom to Kevin pulling down her pants and having sex with her. Arianna said she felt Kevin hovering over her, she was in shock and did not move.
Afterwards, Arianna immediately called her friend who came and picked her up. Arianna called cops. Arianna’s underwear were collected as evidence. Police spoke with Kevin at his residence.
Kevin denied any sexual activity with Arianna. Kevin consented to a DNA swab being taken from him. The DNA swabs matched the DNA found on the victim.
Kevin was then arrested charged with 2nd degree rape. A permanent no contact order was placed on Kevin, prohibiting him from contacting Arianna.
During trial Pastor Gary Berry of Liberty Baptist Church wrote a character witness letter for Kevin, saying that Kevin has had an alcohol problem in the past, but has been sober for 2 years.
The jury found Kevin guilty as charged. He was sentenced to 73-148 months in prison. He must also register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. It is unknown if Kevin’s wife will seek a divorce.
