35-year-old Eddie Propst was arrested on May 11, 2022 charged with the murder of his girlfriend Laura Matthews, 29. Eddie and Laura were in a relationship and had a child together. Laura was murdered on Mother’s Day 2022 in Hickory, NC.
Laura was found dead at a home early in the morning on Mother’s Day May 8th. Officials say Laura died as the result of a physical assault.
Eddie was soon arrested and charged with first degree murder. He is in jail with no bond.
