William Josue Ramos Lopez, 29, was killed in a house fire on July 10, 2025 in Charlotte, NC at the Aurea Station Apartments located on Winter Oaks Lane.
At 5:30 a.m. a fire broke out and burned through the second and third floors of the apartments. Six people, including two children were taken to hospitals.
Two victims were transferred to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Burn Center in Winston Salem. William died at the hospital.
All residents of the apartment building were displaced. Four apartment buildings were affected. Several of the victims remain hospitalized with burn wounds.
