Valerio Chun Ramirez was killed in a truck collision head on
On Friday, April 4, 2025 Valerio Chun Ramirez, 58, was killed after getting hit by a truck on Barrington Dr. Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

The preliminary investigation indicates a Ford truck was traveling on Barrington Dr. when Mr. Ramirez was struck as he was crossing the road. Mr. Ramirez was not in a crosswalk.
Fire Department and medics responded to the scene. Upon arrival, the victim was located in the roadway with serious injuries.
The Ford truck had damage to the front end. An ambulance transported Valerio to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. At the hospital Valerio was pronounced deceased.
Detectives with the Major Crash Investigation Unit responded to conduct the investigation. The driver of the truck was cited for not having a license. Alcohol was not involved.
