JET LOADED WITH WEAPONS AND CASH GETS INTERCEPTED

U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Homeland Security Investigations conducted an investigation of a suspicious jet on Saturday, August 15, 2020. On the jet federal agents located a weapons stockpile along with a large amount of U.S. cash in Miami, Florida.

Agents were alerted of an aircraft movement related to an ongoing investigation. The FAA responded to detain the aircraft headed to St. Vincent and conducted an inspection of the Learjet. Agents seized 18 assault/bolt action rifles with optics, six shotguns, 58 semi-automatic pistols, $20,312 in U.S. currency, and $2,618.53 in endorsed checks.

Two Venezuelan nationals were arrested. The Learjet was seized.
