On December 24, 2020 a major vehicle crash involving multiple cars forced a portion of Interstate 485 to shutdown near the border of Charlotte, NC and Huntersville, NC.
One person is dead from the I-485 wreck and three other people are seriously hurt. The I-485 outerloop is closed at Interstate 77 near Huntersville while authorities investigate the scene.
The 3 people that survived were taken to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, and two with serious injuries. Several emergency units responded to the scene.
