66-year-old Horace Cook was murdered on February 24, 2022 in Charlotte, NC. Horace’s grandson identified as Nicholas Smith, 18, is charged with the murder.
Horace was murdered at a home on Glasgow Road at noon. Emergency officials responded to an assist medic call for service and found Horace suffering from an apparent injury. Horace was then pronounced deceased on scene by medics.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. Nicholas was deemed a suspect and was located in the victim’s vehicle. Nicholas is charged with murder, armed robbery, and larceny of a firearm.
