There are not many details surrounding Derrick’s death at the moment. It appears he had ties to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, the largest black college in the nation via enrollment numbers.
Derrick was a student at the school several years ago, he stayed in Scott hall and formed a tap dancing group.
Derrick was popular and well known in the community. Derrick indicates that he has a twin sister.
