A Duke Energy line worker was killed on August 14, 2024 at a housing construction site on Wandering Creek Drive Charlotte, NC.


At 3:45 p.m. the Duke energy employee was on a construction site with several other employees and contractors attempting to do electrical work for new houses that were under construction.

The victim was electrocuted by a live wire line of some sort. Other workers tried to revive the victim. 911 was called.
Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The death caused 1,100 Duke Energy customer’s power to be knocked off for hours. Service was later restored.
