Katherine Lamberth was ran over by a car and killed in center city Charlotte

On June 4, 2026 Katherine Lamberth, 38, was killed in uptown Charlotte on East 3rd Street at 7:35 a.m. Thomas Rives, 31, is accused of killing her.

Katherine was a pedestrian walking to work when Thomas allegedly ran a red light and hit Katherine in a marked cross walk. Katherine died on scene. Thomas was driving a Honda.

Thomas stayed at the scene and was arrested charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
