A 4-year-old child was shot on August 16, 2021 on Long Ridge Lane Charlotte, NC. Now detectives have arrested and charged Willie Allen, 33, with with failure to properly store a firearm to protect a minor and possession of a firearm by felon.
On August 16th a kid was playing with a gun at a house on Long Ridge Lane. The gun accidentally fired a shot and the bullet struck a 4-year-old child in the shoulder.
The gun was unsecured in the residence. Willie was the only adult occupant inside the residence at the time of the shooting.
EMT was called and the child was rushed to the hospital. During crime scene processing, several additional firearms were located inside the home, loaded, and easily accessible.
Willie was then arrested and charged with the aforementioned crimes. Willie is a convicted felon and was not suppose to be in the precensce of guns.
