A homicide occured on the property of Chase Bank involving an employee. Chase Bank teller Jessica Vilaythong, 24, was murdered in a brutal stabbing at a Chase Bank in Chicago. Jawaun Westbrooks, 35, is charged with Jessica’s murder.
In September 2021 Jessica was on duty at Chase Bank in the lobby area. Jawaun walked into the bank and allegedly stabbed Jessica in the neck. Blood began to splatter on the floors of the bank branch.
The suspect then left the bank.
Jessica was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries. However, she later died at the hospital due to her injuries. Jawaun was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
Jessica was a recent graduate of the University of Illinois.
