CHARLOTTE MAN WINS $1 MILLION LOTTERY ON INDEPENDENCE BLVD.

Ronald Pierce of Charlotte, NC won the $1 million lottery on a $30 scratch-off ticket. Ronald got the winning ticket on Independence Blvd. which runs into East Roosevelt Boulevard in Monroe, NC.

Ronald bought a lucky Millionaire Maker ticket from a Food Lion. Ronald realized he won the $1 million and he quickly made his way to lottery headquarters on September 16, 2022 to collect his money.

Ronald had a decision to make. He could choose to receive the prize as an annuity of $50,000 over 20 years or a lump sum of $600,000. He chose the lump sum amount of $600,000 and, after required state and federal tax with holdings, he took home $426,069.
