Shanelle Ridgeway, 35, was arrested on June 13, 2023 accused of throwing her own 8-month old baby girl against a brick wall at an apartment complex in Charlotte, NC.
On June 13th Shaneele was dropping her child off to the father at about 8 a.m. at an apartment complex on Hoskins Mill Lane.
Shaneele and the baby’s father got into an argument.
The baby while in a child safety seat was thrown against the outside wall of the apartment building.
Shaneele is accused of reaching in the car and throwing the entire baby seat in the air against the brick wall. Shaneele is accused of then leaving the scene.
Paramedics arrived within minutes. The baby had bruising on her forehead and bruising on her shoulder and chest area, according to court documents.
The baby girl was taken to a hospital, and had to be placed in a cervical collar. The mother returned to the scene after paramedics left.
Shaneele was arrested charged with misdemeanor child abuse.
