ARREST MADE AFTER SECURITY GUARD MURDERED AT DIAMOND’S OF CHARLOTTE STRIP CLUB

21-year-old Adonis Smith is charged with the April 29, 2023 murder of Nicholas Cole, 26. Nicholas was a security guard at Diamond’s of Charlotte strip club on Atando Ave. Charlotte, NC.

A group of men tried getting into the club, one of the men had a fake id and was not allowed in the strip club.

A fight then broke out between the men and the security guard. Nicholas ran to the altercation to help the security guard that was being attacked. 

The group of men then fired several shots. Nicholas was shot dead. Patrons and strippers at the club ran for cover and exits.

On May 1, 2023 detectives obtained warrants on Adonis for 1st degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Adonis sustained a gunshot wound in the incident and was hospitalized in critical condition.

Adonis will be taken into jail custody once he is released from the hospital.

Corey Headen is the owner of Diamond’s of Charlotte strip club, his strip clubs have a reputation of murders on the property.

In 2019 Corey was arrested after a murder occurred at his Club Nikki’s strip club during the CIAA. Corey was charged with failure to supervise the club.
