Detectives in Charlotte, NC have charged three teenage suspects with the murder of Ricardo Perez, 46, he was killed on December 1, 2020 on Eclectra Lane at apartments in Charlotte.
Azaevon Singleton, 18, Sedrick Sanders, 18, and Keon McMillan, 18, are all charged with murder regarding Ricardo’s death.
During the preliminary investigation, homicide detectives received information which identified a vehicle involved in the homicide.
A notice was issued to all patrol officers to be on the lookout for the suspect vehicle. On December 2, 2020, officers located the vehicle and attempted to stop it; however, the driver refused to stop and a vehicle pursuit ensued.
The pursuit eventually ended and Azaevon was taken into custody.
Additional information gathered by patrol officers and detectives led them to a west Charlotte residence where Sedrick and Keon were at; they were then arrested.
All three suspects were charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
