On June 28, 2021 three children were shot in drive-by shootings. A 9-year-old girl was shot and killed in the shootings. The shootings were in Statesville, NC at night time.
The first shooting was on Wilson Lee Blvd. A 9-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy were at home when a vehicle drove by and fired several shots. Both kids were shot. The girl died from the shooting.
The boy was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
Minutes later a 10-year-old boy was shot at a home on New Bern Avenue. A vehicle drove to the residence and let off gunshots, before speeding away. The boy was hit by the bullets. Paramedics arrived and delivered the boy to the hospital with obvious injuries.
