20,000 PLUS PEOPLE IN CHARLOTTE WITHOUT POWER DUE TO STORM

Duke Energy is reporting that there are more than 20,000 people without power in Charlotte, NC. A storm moved through the city and damaged electricity components. Right now the outages are affecting a large area of East Independence Blvd. Central Avenue, Eastway Drive and other areas.

The estimated time of restoration is around 3 a.m.
