2 KILLED AFTER CAR CATCHES FIRE DURING WRECK ON I-77

On August 8, 2021 two people were killed in a fiery vehicle wreck on I-77 Charlotte, NC. The wreck was around 3 a.m. 

The wreck was near the West Trade St exit. Details of the wreck are scarce, but the collision occured and the vehicle caught fire. 2 people were in the vehicle and were trapped inside as the car went into flames. 

The 2 victims were killed by the crash and the flames. The fiery crash caused a highway shutdown for hours.  

Darius Sweezy, 26, and Donald Burnette, 66, were killed in a large fiery dump truck collision on August 4.

Also, 2 young men were killed when a Mercedes Benz caught fire after hitting a tree.

One person was killed after a bus caught fire on I-77.
