Border Patrol agents discovered 23 illegal immigrants stowed away in a locked train compartment on July 9, 2024 in Cotulla, Texas. The train known as La Bestia and The Beast runs from Mexico to the USA and is popular for illegal immigrants.

The Beast also known as La Bestia is what illegal immigrants use to cross the United States border

At 7:00 a.m., Border Patrol agents conducted a train check while the train was stopped and discovered undocumented immigrants in a train compartment.

The compartment was locked, and the illegal immigrants had no means of escape.  Border Patrol agents needed extra tools to extract all the people safely.

The temperatures reached nearly 100 degrees. 23 illegal migrants were locked in the train compartment.

The illegal immigrants were from the countries of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

All subjects were processed according to their individual immigration status. When migrants cross the border unlawfully, they put their lives in peril.

The borders are not open to illegal immigration and the journey is dangerous.
