Now 5 people have been reported shot in a quintuple shooting homicide at a party that was fueled with drugs, the dead victim was Richard Thomas
5 people were shot at a pool party in an apartment complex on Hucks Road Charlotte, NC on March 22, 2026. Richard Thomas, 20, nicknamed RJ was shot and killed at the party during the quintuple shooting. Click here to see more quintuple shooting articles.
Hundreds of teenagers and young adults were gathered at the party. The party quickly got out of hand, as plenty of drugs and marijuana were being used. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
In fact Richard smoked marijuana. A fight started between multiple people and shots were fired. Originally it was believed that just 3 people were shot. RJ was among the shot, he died at the scene. 2 other people were shot that included a man and a woman. The last 2 victims were taken to the hospital and survived.
But after that 2 more people showed up at the hospital after being shot, and they said that they were at the party, hence making this a quintuple shooting. RJ was arrested last year accused of possessing marijuana.
